Instructor's Feedback on Your First Draft

As a first draft, this contribution falls short. If this were the final draft, you would not pass. However, this is not the final draft. Your first paragraph looks like it doesn't go beyond what you have in Theology Matters. It can be a start, but you need to develop the material in depth, but looking up biblical evidence & bringing in other dialog partners from extra research. You also need to write more reflection & discussion of your own in light of your research. The second half of your paper that comes after the enclosed "Why did Jesus have to die" contains some good points. However, each of these need to be developed into full paragraphs & supported with biblical evidence & dialog partners.

Things to Improve:

1. More dialog partners from extra research

2. More relevant scriptures

3. Bringing in commentaries on these scriptures you find as dialog partners too. The commentaries most likely to be helpful are the ones from the NIV Application Commentary Series, the Word Biblical Commentary Series, the New International Commentary on the New Testament Series, &/or the Baker Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament Series.

4. Really expand your discussion
