You have added short prose explanations of the files referenced in the early section of this page. While this is an improvement, I don't think that they have solved the problem; the text still reads like a reference manual.

You have added a section at the end on how synchronization mechanisms can be used to implement different parallel-programming constructs. This helps, but there are two ways I'd like to see it improved further: where you give alternate ways of realizing the parallel constructs, you should identify them as alternate ways. From reading your prose, I got the impression that your code examples used two different security mechanisms because two are more secure than one (a demonstrable fallacy). I had to look at the code to sort this out.

Secondly, a lot of text has been accreted to this page over the years. It is now tedious to read. It would be much better to delete inessential text to make the page more readable.
